21 Months!

Oh man 21 months old and so much sass. Vi has spent the past month perfecting the word "no". Does she know what it means? Still up for debate. Either way she is definitely expressing her opinion about things.

She loves singing "gee gee high" which translates to "Twinkle Twinkle" somehow. She also loves calling teddy bears "da gee gee". Ya, I don't get it either.

She's learned how to climb out of her high chair. She's attempted and failed to crawl through the cat door. And she now helps herself to anything on the table.

I took her to Barnes and Noble the other day and she attached herself to a stuffed Elmo who is now her BFF. She takes him with her everywhere.

Funny Moments:

  • I bought Violet her first set of underwear. She calls them hats and puts them on the heads of all her stuffed animals.
  • Anytime she sees Dad's computer she immediately breaks out in "na, na, na, na, hey hey hey goodbye"

Special events this month:

  • Saw the Holiday Express train at Union Station with my family. Vi wasn't a huge fan of waiting in line, but she enjoyed all the model trains and big "choo choos".
  • Celebrated Christmas with my family. Vi got a learning tower and swim lessons from Oma and Opa. She loves using the learning tower to turn on and off the light in the living room.
  • Spent New Years Eve with Oma and Opa while Mom and Dad went to a friend's party. She apparently slept better than she had in weeks and woke up in a fabulous mood for 2020. We spent New Years day eating lots of snacks at Oma and Opa's.
  • Started swim lessons again! Off to a very rocky start. Spent a lot of time in the pool saying "no" and "mommy out".
  • Celebrated Opa's 65 birthday with lots of family and friends. Violet got to bowl for the first time. She was a big fan. She kept clapping and saying YAY when anyone would knock pins over. She was very social and just struck up conversation with anyone who would listen to her or give her cheese balls.
