Favorite Food: Bananas (you can’t buy ripe bananas anywhere right now. Poor girl has been waiting for these green bananas to turn for weeks)
Favorite Toy: A plastic turtle, Duplo train with people
Favorite Show: Still Curious George and Oceans and Daniel Tiger
Favorite Thing to Do Outside: Hold and talk to worms, have one of her parents pull her wooden horse around in a circle, bubbles, and chalk
Favorite thing to Do Inside: Hang out in her crib reading, color
Favorite Song: Baby Beluga
Favorite Book: "Mommy Book" aka Mama, Do you Love Me?
Least favorite thing: Anything having to do with potty training
New Skill:
-Vi will ask you for something and when you clarify "did you want a banana?" She goes "okay” like it was your idea to begin with.
- Vi is obsessed with garbage trucks. Everytime she hears one coming down the street she runs to a window to say "hi trash truck!"
-Whenever she wants you to do something with her she says "Mommy do it too?"
- When we play the Baby Beluga song, Vi always plays the air trumpet during the musical break. This morning when I went to get her out of bed she was playing the air trumpet.
- Ben had a beard for a few weeks and then shaved it off. Vi keeps asking "where beard go?"
Special events this month:
-Not a whole lot going on this month since we are stuck at home during a pandemic. Ben is off of school and I am working from home; so Vi is getting lots of attention. We do miss going places and seeing our friends. Can't play on public playgrounds, so passing a slide brings Vi to tears. We've been going on lots of walks around the neighborhood when the weather is nice.
-Attempted potty training. It was a giant fail. Vi refused to sit on the potty and hated being naked. She walked around with a blanket wrapped around her.
-We just busted out the Easter eggs and have been playing Easter egg hunt around the house.
-we’ve been spending a lot of time FaceTiming family and friends
-We got lucky and a robin built it's nest on our front porch. Vi has enjoyed saying good morning to Mommy Bird every morning and seeing the baby bird.

- She's getting very good at jumping and climbing up and down stairs.
- She's started saying full sentences. Like "the cow goes moo!"
- Can count independently to 10
- Fake crying

-Vi celebrated her 2nd birthday quarantine style. Our neighbors pitched in a decorated our front yard with pinwheels, a sign, and balloons. The highlight of the day was when the Merriam Police did a birthday parade down the street for her. She loved the sirens. The rest of the day she just kept saying "I saw police car! woo woo wooo".
-Oma and Opa brought over Freddy's for a social distance birthday lunch. Vi ate french fries and a strawberry milkshake for lunch. Aunt Susie and Uncle Mark stopped by and dropped off balloons. That night Christina sent us a Mac and Cheese pizza and a birthday cannoli. Truly blessed by all the love and gifts Vi received. Her favorite present was from Aunt Laura and Uncle Shu Shu. It was a red and black tricycle. Her legs are still too short for the pedals, but that doesn't stop her from waiting you to push her around on it.
